Located in Central Harlem, New York (Manhattan), our temporary facility is a private location
accessible to virtually all major public transportation (primarily 2, 3, A, B, C, and D Trains). The
intimate classroom accommodates 20 participants, features high-speed wi-fi, and access to a
private garden. The classroom is wired for live web streaming. The address of the private location
is given to registrants who attend the sessions in-person.
Live Web Streaming
While our classroom limits the number of participants to around 20, it also serves as a
three-camera, high-definition studio. All classes are streamed live via our website for registered
students. We have worked diligently to ensure online participants an interactive experience which
allows them to interact with other participants and the instructor. For best results, students should
also utilize a high-speed (cable, satellite, fiber-optic, dsl, T1, etc.) internet service. Registered
participants will also have temporary access to recorded sessions within 48 hours.
While we intend to ensure the financial viability of the Institute, one of our major objectives is to
allow wide access to our courses. We have priced our courses at approximately $25 per class.
Weekly payments are available. Substantial discounts are available for participants who pay
enrollment fees up front and for those who become premium members. Additionally many courses
provide access to digital versions of required texts via our website. Similar courses taught at local
colleges, are more than 20X our costs!
Practical and Comprehensive
The Ma'at Institute's primary goal is to make the esoteric wisdom of the ancients available for use in
our contemporary lives. All course are taught from a rigorous but practical perspective.
Additionally course topics have been carefully selected from both "concrete" areas such as history
and esoteric knowledge such as sacred geometry. This approach is based on the Ancient Kemetic
concept of "Smai Tawi", which translates roughly a "union between the two regions". While this
phrase is generally translated to refer to the establishment of the nation of Kemet as two separate
nations were unified, the Kemetic people also used it to describe complex spiritual and philosophical
concepts. Smai Tawi best describes the Institute's left/right brain educational strategy.
In the near future the Ma'at Institute will be utilizing complementary courses to create thematic
certificates. The Institute is not currently accredited by regional institutions which evalute degree
granting colleges and universities, however it's certificates will certainly demonstrate proficiency in a
variety of areas.
