"Sacred Myths - Sacred Wisdom"













Virtually everyone in the is familiar with the creation
story in the Christian Bible, but how may are familiar
with the creation story in Kemetic literature which
seems to have inspired it?  This episode features a
reading and discussion of major Kemetic myths which
are not only beautiful but conceal deeper spiritual
wisdom.  The Center for the Restoration of Ma'at seeks
to bring these important texts back into contemporary
use.  It is only through the wisdom of our African
ancestors that we may return to our historical
greatness.  

Longtime Kemetic initiate Heru David joins Kemetic
Legacy Today co-host Anika and Jabari Osaze to
present these important stories.
 
Aired 3/13/10 - Episode 10
"Travel to Egypt for FREE!"
















Kemetic Legacy Today Co-hosts travel to Egypt every
year as the Harlem Representatives for the African
Genesis Corrective History Program (also known as the
d'Zert Club).  This episode features the founders of the
program in studio, Helen and Ali Salahuddin.  When the
Salahuddins created the d'Zert Club in Philadelphia
over 13 years ago, they were seeking to provide youth
of African descent with an understand of their legacy
as African people.  Their 28-month rite of passage
program corrects the negative image of Africans with
an in-depth curriculum, adult mentors, directed
readings and assignments, and field trips.  The
culmination of the program for these youth and their
adult mentors is a FREE TRIP TO EGYPT!  

Helen and Ali Salahuddin not only share the history of
the d'Zert Club with the Kemetic Legacy Today
audience, but they also share how to become part of
this revolutionary institution.  Every person of African
descent worldwide should travel to Egypt at least once
in their lives; it is Egypt which demonstrates what we
are truly capable of.

"3 Millenia of Excellence: A Brief History of
Ancient Kemet's Major Personalities, Part 2 (First
Intermediate Period and the Middle Kingdom)"















An interactive lecture series conducted by Co-Host
Jabari Osaze,  "3 Millennia" is an overview of periods of
Kemetic history with particular focus on major rulers
and personalities.  The episode, which focuses on the
First Intermediate and Middle Kingdom, is the second
part of a three-part series.  The complete series will
provide the viewer with a fundamental understanding of
Kemet, allowing them to place other topics (e.g.:
spirituality, symbolism, male/female relations, etc.) in
context.  The inspirational lecture is conducted in
simple conversational language, but is still appropriate
for college-level inquiry.

"The Feminine Principle in Ancient Kemet"

















This episode features a lecture by Anika Daniels-Osaze
(Nfr-Ka Ma’at) which was conducted in Luxor, Egypt
entitled "The Feminine Principle in Ancient Kemet".   
Topics include the Kemetic concept of "god", feminine
symbols of power and protection, a portrait of the daily
lives and rights of women in Ancient Kemet, and an
overview of great female rulers and queens.

"The Feminine Principle in Ancient Kemet" elucidates
the oft overlooked story of women and the feminine
concept in Ancient Egypt.

Spotlight on "The Hip Hop Medicine
Man", Supa Nova Slom


















This episode features an interview and
in-studio performance by "The Hip Hop
Medicine Man", Supa Nova Slom, fresh
off his appearance on the Jay Leno
Show.  Raised in the legacy of Ancient
Kemet, Brother Supa Nova ministers an
uplifting message of wellness,
self-determination, and personal
empowerment to the Hip Hop
Generation through his head-nodding
music.  

Brother Supa Nova Slom has not only
produced successful albums including
The Medium of Balance, and Unify the
Hood, Heal the Hood
; but he has also
created the documentary series
Holistic
Wellness for the Hip Hop Generation
.  
His first book,
The Remedy and
companion CD are due for release in
March.  Brother Supa Nova's eclectic
body of work positions him as one of
the most enigmatic and influential
models of the Kemetic Legacy.
Episode 6 - Aired 2/13/10
91-Year-Old Historian Dr. Edward Robinson and
The Sonic Sunchaser D.K. Dyson
















Co-hosts Anika Daniels-Osaze and Jabari Osaze
interview 91-year-old historian, doctor, lawyer, and film
producer Dr. Edward Robinson.  Dr. Robinson is the
author of the seminal work, "The Journey of the
Songhai People".  He recently founded the African
Genesis Media Group in order to produce a major
motion picture featuring African Americans reclaiming
their African heritage.  

This episode also features the Sonic Sunchaser, Sister
D.K. Dyson.  An adherent to Kemetic spirituality, Sister
Dyson has performed with the band
Living Colour and
created the theme song for the weekly television
program,
Our World with Black Enterprise.   Sister
Dyson performs 2 songs and interviews with our
co-hosts.
 
Episode 5 - Aired 2/6/10
"Conversations with an Elder Kemetic Priest"


















Co-host Anika Daniels-Osaze interviews the Chief Priest
of the Shrine of Ptah, Baaba Heru Ankh Ra Semajh Se
Ptah>  Affectionately known as Semajh, Baaba Heru is
probably the elder practitioner of Kemetic spirituality in
the United States; having introduced and initiated
hundreds of people into "The Legacy" for over 40
years.  He is also the proprietor and Master Craftsman
of the Studio of Ptah which creates custom "sa"
(protective emblems or Kemetic jewelry) featuring
Ancient African symbolism.

Anika Osaze speaks with Baaba Heru about his path to
The Legacy, his personal philosophy, his approach to
making Kemetic spirituality practical in contemporary
daily life, and Kemet's place within the today's 3 most
practiced religions.

"The Raw Vegan Feast"














This episode features Master Raw Vegan Chef and
Kemetic Priest Baaba Pa-Ur Heru Tehuti Se Ptah. The
vegan diet is characteristic of most Kemetic communities
today (e.g.: Shrine of Ptah, Ausar Auset Society, etc.) as
meditation practitioners often describe better results with
a lighter, "green" diet. Archaeologist also argue than
meat was rarely eaten in Ancient Egypt.
Baaba Pa-Ur prepares a wonderful Ptah (kale) salad,
salad casserole, nut loaf, vegan nut sushi, and a bulgar

"The 7 Basic Principles of Kemetic Spirituality"














Our second episode provides a general understanding
of Kemetic spirituality. We hope this orientation will help
our viewers with the contemporary living practice of this
ancient way of life. The principles described are as
follows:

3) The Blessing in Balance
4) The Means to the Mystery of Spiritual Development
5) The Sacred in Symbolism
6) Sacred Myth – Sacred Message  (includes a review of

"African Ancestry Revealed:  Who were the Ancient
Egyptians?"














In order to provide a proper backdrop for the rest of the
series, our first episode is a lecture conducted live in
Luxor, Egypt by Jabari Osaze.  The 4 most prevalent  
myths about the ethnicity of the Ancient Khamites are
debunked by ground breaking research and analysis.
